The Genesis vase is the fruit of a collaboration between Guillaume Garnier, Florent Linker and Glenn Sestig for Ormond Editions, and features the lost-wax technique of glass and bronze casting. The piece combines material honesty, functionality and a quiet sense of sophistication.
The piece has been conceived as a generous and brutal object, composed of two distinct parts: a delicate, patinated bronze container that holds the water and flowers, and a solid block of semi-transparent glass created by lost-wax casting that embraces it and anchors it to the ground.
The Genesis vase is made in France in collaboration with Garnier & Linker, for Ormond Editions in Geneva.
