José María de Aurora is a painter working on the importance of matter and the physical act of painting, deeply influenced by the purity of line and movement. His work is an exploration of volumes and serene compositions that embody the essence of visual poetry.
Nurtured by a deep love of art from an early age, the artist has ventured into various media including painting, sculpture, printmaking and sewing. His journey as an artist took another step forward when he presented his first painting at the Fundación Tàpies, winning a regional competition. He then continued his studies at the Ramón Llull University's School of Fashion Arts and Techniques to further enrich his skills. José María is now well known as the founder and creative director of Spanish couture brand Ze García.
His creations invite contemplation of the harmonious interplay between architectural precision, minimalist aesthetics and the poetic depth of each work of art, navigating between the opulence of haute couture and the tranquil confines of his studio.
