The Twenty Chair and Table is derived from a 20-sided polygon, the design is constrained to these boundaries, a chair refined back to geometric foundations. An array of subtle gradients of tone is revealed as light projects across the faceted form.

Established in 2020 by designer-maker Samuel Burns, Sabu Studio is a Melbourne based furniture, lighting and object design company whose design practice is founded upon an honesty to materials, a refined designed sensibility, and a contemporary approach to craftsmanship.

All the products developed by the studio are handmade to order, inviting intrigue and delight, subtle and unobtrusive within the interior spaces. Burns’ work is inspired by the natural environment, Scandinavian and Japanese design aesthetics giving rise to refined and elegant creations.
