Ciguë has returned to its roots in the creation of the new Bordeaux address for the Caudalie skincare brand. Raw materials such as solid oak, stuccoed plaster, polished concrete and stone are used in this 173m2 space dedicated to well-being and rejuvenation.
The space evokes both the perspective of the cylindrical maceration tanks of a winery, and the sinuosities of riprap with water running through it. The theatricality developed by ciguë lightens these references to propose a return to the brand's roots, intrinsically linked to an exploratory vision of vinotherapy.
The beveled oak planks used to form the barrels are used here as exterior cladding for the treatment areas. The folds in the felt lining the ceilings evoke the strata of a cavernous matrix that has become cosy, while the plum color of the floor plaster, which coats the cabin floors, softens the wine lees associated with the brand. The Frontenac stone, weighing in at 2.7 tons, is set off as a fountain of youth, sealing the singularity of this space.
