The Temple boxing club called on Ciguë to design its two new Paris addresses, neutralizing the ostentatiousness expected of an exclusive sports club, revealing the authenticity of places, people and moments.

For Temple Saint-Lazare, nestled beneath a 1930s building, Ciguë illuminates the Pigalle club's Art Deco codes. An intimate entrance off-center on the façade and a staircase as steep as it is electric lead straight into the ring lit by a neon chandelier. The bar, draped in a pleated molded concrete skirt, is preceded by a velvet sofa enhanced by light oak mosaic parquet.

For Temple Motte-Piquet Grenelle, brutalism versus Seventies lobby chic. The space is located in the basement of a business hotel, neutralized by the warm minimalism infused by Ciguë. Walnut wood panelling contrasts with sprayed plaster crystallizing vast ceiling heights, an Olympic-sized ring lit by 49 hanging basins inspired by Marcel Breuer's MET lighting fixtures, a long green leather banquette accompanying the enfilade bar, a slightly retro checkerboard tiling in cream and charcoal hues in the checkrooms.

At both addresses, self-supporting tubular steel structures are used to hang leather punching bags. Sober, comfortable changing rooms feature individual light-oak lockers bearing the effigies of world champions, as well as a sauna.
